Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was raised over four areas on Sunday morning as Tropical Depression Luis continued to affect parts of Luzon, Pagasa said.
As of 5 a.m., the warning was in effect over the Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, the northern portion of Camarines Sur and Catanduanes.
Luis was also expected to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the rest of Calabarzon and Bicol Region, Aurora, Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.
Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Aklan and Antique were likewise forecast to experience unsettled weather due to the tropical depression.
Pagasa last located Luis 295 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte, moving slowly west southwestward.
The cyclone had maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 70 kph.
Pagasa said Luis was expected to remain over the West Philippine Sea, although a westward shift in its track could bring it closer to or across parts of Northern Luzon.
The weather bureau added that Luis could intensify within 24 hours but was likely to remain a tropical storm only briefly.
