Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched retail sales of the all-new Land Cruiser FJ, introducing a more compact and accessible member of the iconic Land Cruiser family that’s equally at home on city streets and off-road trails.
Designed for a new generation of adventure seekers, the Land Cruiser FJ carries the legendary toughness and reliability that have made the Land Cruiser nameplate a favorite among Filipino motorists for decades. This time, however, Toyota packages that heritage into a smaller, more maneuverable SUV built for modern lifestyles.
The all-new Land Cruiser FJ combines rugged capability with everyday practicality, making it ideal for drivers who want a vehicle that’s ready for both weekday commutes and weekend escapes.
Inspired by classic Land Cruiser models, the SUV features a bold and upright design with short overhangs, a wide stance, and 245mm of ground clearance that underscore its off-road credentials. Its compact dimensions make it easier to navigate urban environments, while functional design elements—including a rear side-access cargo door, rear-mounted spare tire, and squared body panels—enhance its adventurous character and customization potential.
Land Cruiser FJ VX
Built for Adventure, Engineered for Everyday Driving
Powering both the TX and VX variants is Toyota’s proven 2.7-liter 2TR-FE naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 166 horsepower and 245Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel-drive system that operates in rear-wheel drive during normal driving conditions and can be engaged for additional traction when tackling rough terrain.
The Land Cruiser FJ rides on a durable ladder-frame chassis—a hallmark of the Land Cruiser lineup—paired with a double-wishbone front suspension and a four-link rear suspension. Toyota’s Active Traction Control System (A-TRC) also comes standard across both variants to help improve stability and grip across varying road conditions.
Measuring 4,610mm in length and 1,855mm in width, the Land Cruiser FJ offers a practical footprint for city driving while maintaining the commanding road presence expected of an SUV. The TX variant stands 1,890mm tall, while the VX measures 1,950mm in height.
Functional Cabin with Modern Features
Inside, the Land Cruiser FJ adopts a driver-focused and highly functional cabin layout that balances durability with convenience.
The entry-level TX variant is designed for customers who prefer a straightforward and highly capable 4×4. It comes equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, LED lighting, a 9-inch infotainment display, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, synthetic leather seats with manual adjustments, and physical controls, including a lever-type parking brake and rotary selector for four-wheel-drive modes.
Meanwhile, the VX variant caters to buyers looking for additional comfort, technology, and safety features. It upgrades to 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, side steps, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather shift knob, and a Panoramic View Monitor.
The VX also comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes:
