The death toll from Typhoon Tino (international name Typhoon Kalmaegi) has reached 52, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Of those fatalities, 50 were reported in Central Visayas and 2 in Western Visayas.
The disaster has also displaced over 400,000 people as heavy rains, landslides and floods swept across several regions.
Currently, search and rescue operations continue while the casualty count remains subject to verification by authorities.
