Shopee marks decade of Filipino Christmases with reunion of iconic ambassadors

Four individuals, including three celebrities holding bouquets of flowers, pose together in a cozy indoor setting decorated for Christmas. A Christmas tree adorned with ornaments can be seen in the background.

Ten Christmases, millions of checkouts, and countless everyday stories later, Shopee celebrates its 10th year in the Philippines by reuniting three cultural icons who helped define the country’s online holiday shopping experience: Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Jose Mari Chan.

A decade after Shopee first landed on Filipino phones, it has woven itself into everyday life — from budol finds and pasabuy orders, to payday checkouts, lockdown essentials, and holiday jingles that have become part of our collective memory. As Filipino routines moved online, Shopee helped families, micro-entrepreneurs, and neighborhood shops go digital, making shopping more convenient and accessible nationwide. What began as a simple marketplace has evolved into a shared habit and cultural touchpoint, filled with joy, connection, and the thrill of every add-to-cart moment.

Vincent Lee, Head of Shopee Philippines, said the platform’s growth was built on listening closely to the community. “Filipinos shaped how we built Shopee here. We learned how people shop, celebrate, and support each other, and we adapted from there. It shaped everything from our payment and delivery experience to how we bring excitement into every sale season. We didn’t just grow in the Philippines; we grew by learning with this community. This reunion is our way of saying thank you for welcoming Shopee into everyday life.”

To celebrate its tenth Christmas, Shopee launched the #Shopee10Pasko reunion featuring Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Jose Mari Chan — the ambassadors who powered its most memorable campaigns. Each brought something unique: Jose Mari Chan’s timeless warmth from 2018 to 2022, Kim’s youthful spark in 2021, and Vice’s high-energy performances in 2023. Their return brings back the jingles, punchlines, kilig moments, and countdowns that became part of the Filipino holiday rush over the past decade.

In the Shopee 10 Pasko film, the trio revisits signature looks, iconic lines, and fan-favorite quirks from their earlier campaigns, blending nostalgia with today’s energy and celebrating how far Filipinos have come in their online shopping journey.

Shopee is also rolling out holiday activities rooted in real user stories: shoppers can share favorite Shopee moments using #Shopee10Pasko on social media for surprise vouchers; enjoy ₱1,200 worth of daily vouchers through the Shopee 12.12 Voucher Pamasko from December 1 to 12; and relive their Shopee journey with Shopee Unboxed, a personalized year-in-review that highlights their biggest milestones, including purchases made as far back as a decade ago.

As it enters its next decade, Shopee remains committed to making online shopping faster, more affordable, and more accessible nationwide. This includes Unlimited Free Shipping, expanded VisMin air routes, new local warehouses, and Fulfilled by Shopee operations that ensure faster deliveries at lower cost. These investments are designed not just to expand convenience, but also to support more jobs, communities, and local businesses.

“Our investment in VisMin is personal to us. Fast delivery shouldn’t only be a Metro Manila experience; every Filipino deserves convenience and access, wherever they live,” Lee added.

Beyond shopping, Shopee aims to empower MSMEs, creators, and local brands by sustaining digital opportunities that uplift communities. Because for Filipinos, online shopping is no longer just a transaction — it is celebration, connection, and progress woven into every checkout.
