PLDT Enterprise is advancing artificial intelligence adoption across the workplace with the rollout of Ellie, an internal digital assistant designed to help employees work more efficiently, collaborate more seamlessly, and deliver faster, more responsive service to customers.
Short for Enablement and Intelligence Engine, Ellie marks another step in PLDT Enterprise’s drive to embed AI into everyday business operations. Built for access through Microsoft Teams, the platform gives employees a convenient way to retrieve product information, sales materials, and other vital resources from a centralized, searchable knowledge hub.
With Ellie, teams can quickly find product bulletins covering PLDT Enterprise’s wide portfolio of fixed, wireless, and ICT solutions, as well as ready-made sales decks and client proposals. By placing critical information within easy reach, the AI-powered assistant helps reduce time spent searching for materials and enables employees to focus on more strategic, high-impact work.
“Championing AI within our own workplace allows us to lead by example as we transform into a TechCo – demonstrating how AI can enhance productivity and deliver more responsive outcomes for our customers,” said Blums Pineda, Senior Vice President and Head of Enterprise Business Group and PLDT Group AI Business Lead.
The platform is expected to strengthen internal alignment, support faster decision-making, and improve how teams engage with clients by making relevant knowledge more accessible across the organization. For PLDT Enterprise, Ellie is not just a technology tool but part of a larger strategy to build a workplace that is more agile, informed, and ready for the demands of a rapidly evolving digital economy.
“Ellie reflects how we are approaching AI as a practical tool for everyday work – not just a future concept, but something our teams can use now to work smarter and respond more effectively to client needs,” said Nico Alcoseba, First Vice President and Head of Enterprise Product Management and Innovations at PLDT Enterprise. “As we continue to evolve the platform, our focus is on ensuring it delivers real value across the organization by supporting faster decision-making, better collaboration, and more impactful outcomes.”
The launch also highlights PLDT Enterprise’s belief that companies must first embrace transformation internally before they can fully unlock its benefits for customers. As the wider PLDT Group continues to expand its AI initiatives, Ellie stands as a clear example of how internal innovation can help shape a more future-ready, AI-enabled workplace.
