The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation in the Davao Region said enrollment under its Yaman ng Kalusugan Program has reached more than 1.09 million beneficiaries as of Thursday.

Data released by PhilHealth showed that Davao del Sur recorded the highest number of enrollees, followed by Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental.

The agency also reported that claims paid under the program this year have already reached Php 107.7 million.

In addition, 174 YAKAP-accredited clinics have been established across the region, along with 48 facilities providing medicines under the Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment program.

PhilHealth-11 Information Officer Kleah Guevarra said the program is open to all members and their dependents, encouraging them to enroll in their preferred YAKAP clinic to access services.

She said accreditation has already been completed in all provinces in Region 11 to ensure wider access to primary health care.

Guevarra added that partnerships with health care providers are being expanded to increase the number of GAMOT facilities in the region.

PhilHealth said it is also conducting registration drives in workplaces, schools, and communities to boost enrollment, noting that YAKAP provides consultations, laboratory tests, medicines, and preventive services aimed at reducing out of pocket expenses.
