More than 141,000 police officers, firefighters and other force multipliers have been deployed nationwide to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said.

The deployment, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., covers cemeteries, columbaria, transportation terminals and other crowded areas where millions of Filipinos are expected to gather to visit their departed loved ones.

The DILG said it is coordinating closely with the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), other government agencies and local government units (LGUs) to ensure safe and orderly travel and cemetery visits throughout the Undas observance.

Aside from security operations, authorities and local governments are providing various forms of assistance, including free transportation services, wheelchairs and medical support for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and other visitors requiring assistance.

Identification name tags are also being provided to children to help authorities locate their parents or guardians in case they become separated in crowded areas.

Police personnel and other emergency responders have been strategically positioned to monitor public gatherings, manage crowds and respond immediately to accidents, medical emergencies and other security concerns.

The DILG also urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel, particularly in observing safety regulations and reporting suspicious activities.

Individuals who witness suspicious behavior, emergencies or other incidents are advised to immediately notify the nearest authorities or contact the Unified 911 Hotline for assistance.

The department emphasized that coordination among national government agencies, local authorities and the public remains essential to ensuring a peaceful, safe and orderly Undas 2026.
