The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) arrested eight individuals, including three suspected drug personalities and five wanted persons, in separate anti-criminality operations conducted on October 31 and November 1, 2026, as part of intensified security preparations for Undas 2026.
NEPPO Provincial Director PCOL Ritchie R. Claravall said the three suspected drug personalities were apprehended at around 3:00 AM on November 1 during a patrol operation in Barangay South Poblacion, Gabaldon.
Joint personnel of the Gabaldon Police Station and 12 members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) were conducting a JBM Patrol System operation when they noticed three individuals acting apprehensively upon seeing the patrol team.
The suspects allegedly attempted to flee but were chased and apprehended by the authorities. The three individuals, aged 23, 21, and 20, and all residents of the area, were reportedly caught handing suspected dried marijuana to one another.
Authorities seized two sachets of suspected dried marijuana weighing approximately 5.0 grams, two cellular phones, and three ₱100 bills from the suspects.
In separate operations, five wanted persons were also arrested by personnel of the Cuyapo, Jaen, Science City of Muñoz, Cabanatuan City, and Cabiao Police Stations within their respective areas of responsibility.
The arrested individuals were wanted for various offenses, including violation of Republic Act 9262, libel, theft, and a deportation warrant issued by the Bureau of Immigration.
Claravall said NEPPO remains on full alert and continues to intensify its anti-criminality operations to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order during the Undas 2026 observance.
The operations are being carried out in support of the directives of PBGEN Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3, and PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police, under the campaign slogan, “Bagong PNP Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
