The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office–National Capital Region (NCR) conducted a monitoring activity at Manila North Cemetery on October 31 to help ensure the safety and orderly observance of Undas 2026.

The monitoring was led by the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) in preparation for the expected influx of families visiting cemeteries to offer prayers and pay tribute to their departed loved ones.

The activity aimed to monitor the situation at the cemetery and help ensure that appropriate measures were in place to maintain public safety and order throughout the observance.

The DSWD FO-NCR also worked with the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) to strengthen coordination and cooperation in safeguarding cemetery visitors.

The partnership highlights the importance of coordinated efforts among government agencies in managing the expected crowd and responding to possible concerns during the Undas period.

The DSWD said it remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote a safe, orderly, and peaceful observance of Undas for Filipino families.
