The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its nationwide security operations, deploying a total of 166,365 personnel as of 6:00 AM on November 1, 2026, to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order as millions of Filipinos visit cemeteries and memorial parks for All Saints’ Day.
Under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the PNP, the deployment includes 78,952 PNP personnel, 20,837 personnel from other government agencies and units, and 67,524 force multipliers.
Of the total deployment, 29,185 personnel have been assigned to cemeteries and columbaria, supported by 5,308 police assistance desks. Other personnel have been stationed at places of worship, major roads, transportation hubs, tourist destinations, and checkpoints to provide security, traffic management, and public assistance.
PNP Chief PGen. Nartatez said the increased deployment reflects the police organization’s continuing assessment of public movement and its efforts to position personnel in areas where their presence and assistance are most needed.
He emphasized that police officers are not only tasked with maintaining peace and order but also with assisting families, guiding motorists, and responding to individuals who may need help during the Undas observance.
The PNP remains under Full Alert Status, with police units sustaining security and public assistance operations throughout the Undas period. The intensified measures are in line with the directives of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen public safety and maintain peace and order. These efforts also support the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), through coordinated deployment and effective utilization of personnel and resources.
Meanwhile, the PNP reminded the public to observe safety precautions during the holiday. Families leaving their homes are advised to secure doors and windows, switch off unnecessary electrical appliances, keep valuables in safe places, and inform trusted neighbors if they will be away for an extended period.
Cemetery visitors are encouraged to safeguard their belongings, avoid bringing unnecessary valuables, and keep children within sight, especially in crowded areas. Motorists are also reminded to inspect their vehicles before traveling, plan their routes, follow traffic regulations, and avoid distracted or fatigued driving. Commuters should remain vigilant and attentive to their personal belongings in crowded terminals.
PGen. Nartatez stressed that maintaining public safety requires cooperation between law enforcement authorities and the community, urging every Filipino to practice simple but essential safety measures.
The PNP assured the public that police personnel will remain visible and accessible throughout the Undas observance, ready to provide assistance and respond to emergencies and other concerns.
Through sustained police presence and close coordination with partner agencies and communities, the PNP reaffirmed its commitment to its promise of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
