President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the rollout of the “Bawat Bayan Makikinabang” and Bangsamoro Government Convergence Program at the headquarters of the 6th Infantry Division in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Wednesday.
Marcos joined Interim Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua in distributing assistance to ministries, offices and agencies under the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The President also handed over checks under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund to the five BARMM provinces to support local government projects and development initiatives.
Ceremonial checks were received by Basilan Gov. Mujiv Hataman, Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong Jr., Maguindanao del Norte Gov. Datu Tucao Mastura, Maguindanao del Sur Gov. Datu Ali Midtimbang and Tawi-Tawi Gov. Ysmael Sali.
The turnover formed part of the national government’s continuing assistance to the Bangsamoro region through convergence and development programs.
The event was held at the headquarters of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, which oversees military operations across much of the Bangsamoro region.
Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo Jr. also attended the ceremony alongside regional and local officials.
The activity followed the administration’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Bangsamoro government and support development programs across BARMM.
