President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday declared ‘victory’ in his administration’s “bloodless” war on illegal drugs, highlighting the P62 billion worth of shabu seized over the past three years.
In his visit to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) National Headquarters in Quezon City, Marcos Jr. said his administration’s fight against illegal drugs tackled both the big-time drug dealers and the small-time drug pushers.
The Chief Executive inspected the P8.87 billion worth of recovered “floating shabu” weighing more than 1.3 tons, recovered floating in the waters of Zambales, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Cagayan housed in the PDEA Headquarters. He mandated all law enforcement agencies to maintain a peaceful fight against illegal drugs.
“And I continue to encourage all the Drug Board authorities, the PDEA authorities, and of course, the police, that we must continue with the war against drugs. But we keep it peaceful – we do it in a peaceful way,”
