The Manila City government, through the Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW), is providing free meals, wheelchair assistance, and food boxes to families visiting Manila North Cemetery and Manila South Cemetery during the observance of Undas 2026.

The initiative aims to assist cemetery visitors, particularly senior citizens, persons with mobility difficulties, and families in need, as thousands gather to pay their respects to departed loved ones.

Among the services offered are wheelchair assistance for elderly visitors and individuals requiring mobility support, distribution of hot meals, and food boxes for qualified families.

The assistance is being carried out under the directive of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, with MDSW Director Jay Dela Fuente overseeing the delivery of social welfare services at the two major cemeteries.

The city government said the initiative forms part of its continuing efforts to provide accessible and responsive public services, particularly during occasions when large numbers of residents gather in public areas.

MDSW personnel remain deployed to assist visitors and respond to the needs of vulnerable individuals throughout the Undas observance.

The Manila City government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that residents, especially those requiring additional assistance, receive appropriate support while commemorating their departed loved ones.
