ITCZ to bring rain over Visayas, Mindanao

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will persist in directing cloudy skies and scattered rain showers across the Visayas, Mindanao, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region and Quezon province.

The weather bureau’s 4 a.m. bulletin warns that moderate to at times heavy rain may trigger flash floods or landslides in the affected areas.   In Northern Luzon, moisture from the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and isolated light rainfall, while the rest of the country expects partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon, while the rest of the archipelago will see light to moderate winds and slightly to moderately rough seas.
