Globe has reached a major milestone in its digital innovation journey, earning the GSMA Open Gateway Certification for its upcoming Number Verification API. The certification, which confirms compliance with global technical standards, positions Globe as a key player in enhancing digital security and interoperability in the Philippines.

The achievement validates Globe’s future API as a secure, standardized solution that will give developers a seamless integration experience while providing enterprises with stronger protection against fraud. With digital transactions on the rise, the certification ensures that Globe’s technology will meet global benchmarks for safeguarding users against risks such as fraudulent account creation and account takeovers.

Once launched, the Number Verification API will allow financial institutions and enterprises to tap into Globe’s network for real-time, secure mobile number authentication. This will not only simplify integration for banks and fintech firms but also add a crucial layer of protection to prevent unauthorized access and fraudulent activity in digital transactions.

“This is a testament to Globe’s dedication to building safer digital ecosystems,” said KD Dizon, Head of Globe Business. “By introducing standards-based tools, we are empowering partners to strengthen customer trust and support the growth of secure digital finance.”

GSMA, the global organization that unites mobile operators and tech innovators, also commended Globe’s milestone. “Certification of CAMARA APIs plays a critical role in giving enterprises the confidence that their services are built on standardized, interoperable foundations,” said Henry Calvert, Head of Networks at GSMA. “Globe’s certification ensures easier integration, stronger security, and a consistent developer experience aligned with global specifications.”

The certification is part of Globe’s broader strategy to expand its enterprise portfolio with advanced API-driven solutions for fraud prevention and security. It reinforces the company’s commitment to equipping businesses with cutting-edge tools to navigate today’s fast-evolving digital landscape.
