MANILA – Adamson University clobbered University of the East, 94-77, to bolster its semifinal bid in the UAAP Season 89 women’s basketball Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Elaine Etang delivered with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, and two steals as the Lady Falcons improved to 7-4.

Kazel Mazo chipped in 13 points, including a triple that sealed the win for the Lady Falcons, followed by Jam Meniano with 11 points and eight rebounds, and Cheska Apag with 10 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.

“We just take it one game at a time — 7-4 is 7-4, but we have to finish the business. We have to finish all the games before we would know kung mag-fa-Final Four (if we will enter the Final Four) or not,” Adamson coach Jed Colonia said after the game.

Adamson’s last three games in the elimination round are against University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle University and National University.

Rachel Lacayanga and Moana Vacalares scored 22 points each for the Lady Warriors, who slid to the bottom of the standings at 1-9.

UE will face NU on Nov. 14, at 10 a.m., also at Araneta Coliseum. (Jean Malanum/PNA)
