The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has committed to providing any necessary help to the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who lost his 5-year-old child to the crash that occurred in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.
The DMW also stressed that they are willing to aid the OFW who will fly to Europe regarding speaking with his employer to explain his absence.
The OFW’s spouse was also affected and suffered injuries from the crash.
“We likewise fervently pray for the fast recovery of his wife, who was also run over and is hospitalized in critical condition. We also ask for prayers of healing and safety to those affected by this very unfortunate incident, including the mother of the OFW who was also injured but is currently out of harm’s way,” the agency added.
The agency also seeks justice for another male adult who passed away from the incident and several others who were injured.
“The Department joins the bereaved OFW and his family in their strong plea to have the perpetrator of this tragedy brought to justice,” it emphasized.
In addition, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the perpetrator’s license for 90 days.
According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the driver will also be subjected to a drug test.
