Armscor Global Defense Inc. (AGDI) announced the passing of its President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, Martin O. Tuason, on November 19. He was 51.
A third-generation leader of the family-owned company—the largest privately owned firearms and ammunition manufacturer in Southeast Asia—Tuason began his career at Armscor in his teenage years, eventually ascending to the position of President and CEO in 2012.
Under his leadership, Armscor significantly expanded its global footprint across commercial and defense sectors, exporting to over 60 countries.
He was a noted advocate for the Self-Reliant Defense Posture (SRDP) program, playing a critical role in promoting legislation to strengthen local defense capabilities.
Tuason is also remembered for his generosity and strategic vision, notably through the Armscor’s Bigay Awa at Tanglaw sa mga Anghel (BATA) Foundation, which provides shelter, education, and care for underprivileged girls in Marikina.
Following his passing, Deputy CEO Gina Marie Angangco will assume leadership of Armscor Global Defense, Inc., with the executive management team ensuring operational continuity.
