MANILA – AirAsia Philippines on Friday said stronger domestic bookings have been observed a week before Undas, or the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on Nov. 1 and 2.
“Among the destinations seeing stronger booking activity are Caticlan, Bacolod, and Iloilo,” it said in a news release.
The low-cost carrier added that it is also seeing increased bookings for flights to Manila from domestic destinations like Cagayan de Oro.
“AirAsia Philippines expects passenger demand and load factors to rise further in the days leading up to Undas as more travelers finalize their holiday plans,” it said.
As higher passenger volumes are expected during the holiday period, the airline urges passengers to allow ample time at the airport and anticipate longer queues at security screening, baggage drop, and immigration checkpoints.
They are advised to complete self-check-in via the AirAsia MOVE app or the website. Self-check-in is available from 14 days up to one hour before the flight schedule.
Meanwhile, AirAsia also encourages passengers to book early to secure their preferred travel dates and take advantage of available fares as these may increase as demand rises. (PNA)
