PAMPANGA – A total of 903 housing units are being constructed in Pampanga under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to provide new homes for families affected by the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.
According to a government update released Saturday, October 17, the ongoing housing development forms part of efforts to provide relocation assistance to families displaced by the major railway infrastructure project.
The housing initiative aims to provide affected residents with permanent shelter as the government continues implementing the NSCR, a transportation project designed to improve railway connectivity across Luzon.
The development reflects the administration’s efforts to address the housing needs of communities affected by infrastructure construction while supporting the expansion of public transportation.
Once completed, the housing units are intended to accommodate qualified families affected by the railway project.
The initiative also highlights the importance of providing relocation assistance alongside major infrastructure developments to help minimize the impact of displacement on affected communities.
Construction of the 903 housing units remains ongoing as of October 17, 2026.
