The Marikina City government conducted a drainage declogging operation in JEM Subdivision following the directive of Mayor Maan Teodoro to improve water flow and help prevent flooding.

Using a vacuum truck, maintenance personnel removed accumulated mud, garbage, and other debris from drainage canals to clear blockages and improve the efficiency of the drainage system.

The operation aims to reduce the risk of flooding, particularly during heavy rainfall, by ensuring that waterways remain clear and functional.

The initiative forms part of the city government’s ongoing efforts to maintain drainage infrastructure and protect residential communities from flooding.

Residents are also encouraged to practice proper waste disposal to help prevent drainage blockages and maintain clean surroundings.
