The Travel Alliance, made up of leading mobile operators Singtel, AIS, Taiwan Mobile, GOMO Philippines, KDDI, Telkomsel, Optus, and HKT, has officially launched WanderJoy — the world’s first cross-border rewards programme developed by telcos. Announced at the KDDI SUMMIT 2025 in Tokyo, WanderJoy aims to revolutionize the travel experience by connecting millions of customers to curated privileges, seamless connectivity, and exclusive perks across borders.

The new platform was created in response to the growing need for a unified travel rewards experience. As highlighted in the Asia Pacific Loyalty Programs Intelligence Report 2025, regional travellers still face challenges such as fragmented reward systems, SIM-swapping hassles, language barriers, and inconsistent benefits abroad. With over 350 million customers already enjoying top-tier 5G and roaming coverage, the Alliance is now bridging the gaps with WanderJoy — a single, frictionless platform offering premium airport privileges, entertainment, dining, and lifestyle rewards in one place.

Since its soft launch in June 2025, the platform has quickly grown into a trusted digital companion for travellers, supported by global partners including DragonPass, Estée Lauder, Grab, KKday, Omio, and Trip.com — offering everything from lounge access and hotel deals to exclusive lifestyle rewards.
