Vertiv has introduced a new 142kW reference architecture for cooling and power designed specifically for the NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform. This energy-efficient solution features an end-to-end, fully integrated design that reimagines traditional data center buildouts and accelerates AI infrastructure deployment.

The architecture is also available as SimReady™ 3D assets within the NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint—enabling AI factory planners to visualize, test, and refine data center designs in a virtual environment. This capability allows organizations to shorten planning cycles, reduce risk, and customize their infrastructure with greater confidence.

Vertiv’s latest innovation supports the growing demands of high-density AI computing. Working closely with NVIDIA, Vertiv is also developing future-ready infrastructure capable of powering 1 MW IT racks and beyond, including 800 VDC architectures, expected to be available by 2026.

“Vertiv is proud to deepen our collaboration with NVIDIA with this next-generation reference design and SimReady™ assets,” said Scott Armul, executive vice president of global portfolio and business units at Vertiv. “These solutions allow data center operators to digitally plan and optimize AI-driven infrastructure before building a single module, helping them scale faster and smarter.”

Dion Harris, senior director of HPC and AI Infrastructure at NVIDIA, added: “Together with Vertiv, we are giving customers the tools to build efficient, scalable AI data centers that can handle the most advanced workloads. This partnership is key to driving performance and sustainability for the AI-powered future.”

The new reference architecture is part of Vertiv™ 360AI, a platform designed to streamline the development of integrated cooling and power systems for AI and high-performance computing environments.

Key Benefits of Vertiv’s NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 Reference Architecture:

  • Digital-to-Physical Integration: Real-time simulation and collaboration using NVIDIA Omniverse allow IT, facilities, and engineering teams to design and validate systems virtually before construction begins.
  • AI-Optimized Performance: Supporting rack densities up to 142kW, the architecture sets a new standard for large-scale AI factories.
  • Faster Deployment, Smaller Footprint: Delivers 1.5x the AI performance, reduces on-site build time by up to 50%, and requires 30% less physical space.
  • Energy-Efficient Cooling Options: Supports both air and hybrid liquid cooling configurations, offering up to 70% better annual energy efficiency by accommodating higher water temperatures.
  • Global Scalability: Backed by over 4,000 Vertiv service engineers worldwide, ensuring reliable deployment and support across geographies.

As AI adoption continues to surge, Vertiv remains focused on delivering sustainable, high-efficiency infrastructure solutions tailored to the demands of AI factories.
