The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested two Korean nationals in Angeles City, Pampanga, on March 25, 2026, following a coordinated operation.
PNP officers from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group worked with the Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit and international partners to serve mission orders against the suspects.
The operations took place between 9:50 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. along Kampupot Street and the Clark Freeport Zone.
The two Koreans, aged 45 and 33, are wanted in their home country. One is accused of illegal online gambling while the other faces fraud charges and is listed under an Interpol Red Notice.
Authorities confirmed that both had overstayed in the Philippines and that the arrests were carried out smoothly. The suspects were informed of their rights at the time of apprehension.
After the arrests, the PNP turned over the individuals to the Bureau of Immigration for documentation, legal proceedings, and possible deportation.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez praised the units involved and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating transnational crime.
He said the operation reflects the PNP’s commitment to prevent the country from becoming a haven for foreign criminals and to ensure that justice is served.
