TPB Members’ Night 2025: Community in Action anchored its theme on responsible tourism.
The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines transformed Solaire Resort North into a vibrant showcase of creativity and purpose as over 300 members gathered for the TPB Members’ Night 2025: Community in Action on November 18. With this year’s theme centered on creative upcycling, the event placed renewed focus on responsible tourism, environmental stewardship, and the collective strength of the country’s tourism community.
TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles described the gathering as more than a year-end celebration. It was a moment to reflect on shared achievements and recommit to a tourism industry grounded in empathy, resilience, and sustainability.
She noted that the efforts of TPB members throughout 2025 have already made a visible difference, from strengthening local economies and revitalizing communities to helping disaster-hit regions recover more quickly. Tourism, she said, becomes most powerful when it uplifts people, protects natural heritage, and is guided not just by strategy but by intention.

She highlighted the contributions of members who advanced responsible travel through familiarization tours and invitational programs across Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur, Tacloban City, Samar, Davao, Ilocos, Palawan, and Negros Island.
These initiatives helped preserve cultural traditions, support biodiversity conservation, and deepen long-term destination resilience. Nograles also recognized members who took part in corporate social responsibility efforts in La Union, Batanes, and Catanduanes, where volunteer programs helped restore fragile tourism communities and sustain local livelihoods.
In line with expanding its environmental advocacy, TPB announced its continued support for the Philippine Tarsier Foundation through the Philippines’ participation in World Expo 2025 Osaka, reinforcing the country’s role in protecting one of its most vulnerable species. This complements the agency’s broader sustainability drive, which includes reducing single-use plastics during familiarization tours, promoting reusable materials, and organizing CSR events anchored on environmental care and climate-aware tourism.
The night also marked the launch of the TPB Membership Recognition Program, honoring organizations whose work embodies sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity.
Among the celebrated members were Neomace Travel and Tours and Ilocos Heritage Tours for outstanding domestic performance under the Tamaraw category; Evasion Tropicale Inc. and Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort for championing environmental sustainability under the Tarsier category; and Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort for inclusive workplace practices recognized under the Tandikan category.
These recognitions reflect the direction TPB aims to pursue: a tourism landscape driven by responsibility, creativity, and genuine care for communities and the environment.
As the evening drew to a close, Nograles underscored that the work continues. She affirmed that TPB and its partners will keep refining their methods, strengthening climate initiatives, and building a tourism sector that thrives while protecting the destinations that define the Philippines. She emphasized that with united action and shared purpose, the industry can secure a future where tourism remains both vibrant and sustainable for generations to come.
