Authorities recovered six suspected human bones from Taal Lake in Batangas on Monday amid the ongoing search for missing sabungeros.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) said the bones were found alongside several pieces of clothing and a cloth sack. The recovered items have been turned over to the Scene of the Crime Operatives for analysis.
As of October 12, around 887 human bones have already been retrieved from the lake following allegations by whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan that over 100 sabungeros were abducted, killed, and dumped into Taal Lake.
