
Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil, has announced a strategic collaboration with Meta to launch a new suite of tools designed to redefine how people shop, sell, and create on social media. The partnership introduces seamless product discovery on Facebook and direct purchasing through Shopee, unlocking powerful opportunities for creators, brands, and small businesses alike.
At the heart of this collaboration are two major innovations: a simplified affiliate marketing system and enhanced Facebook Live capabilities powered by Collaborative Ads—both aimed at helping creators earn more and shoppers enjoy a frictionless buying experience.

Empowering the creator economy
Through Facebook Affiliate Partnerships—a one-stop dashboard—creators can now link their Facebook and Shopee affiliate accounts, curate relevant products, and tag affiliate listings directly in their posts and Reels. Shoppers who tap these product tags are instantly guided to complete their purchases on Shopee.
As the first official partner for Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, Shopee is paving the way for creators to better monetize their content, engage new audiences, and connect sellers with potential customers.
Affiliates will also benefit from Shopee’s growing suite of support programs, including:
- Higher commission rates and exclusive incentives.
- Free product samples and sponsored collaborations.
- Subscriber vouchers and brand sponsorships.
- Bootcamps, masterclasses, and community events designed to sharpen content creation skills and strengthen online influence.
This partnership underscores Shopee’s growing role in the creator economy—a sector reshaping how people discover and shop online. The impact is already being felt: in 2024 alone, Shopee affiliates produced over 100 million pieces of content through Shopee Live and Shopee Video, a threefold increase from the previous year.

Facebook Affiliate Partnerships with Shopee are now live in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Brazil—marking a major milestone in global social commerce.
Reinventing Facebook Live
The collaboration also introduces a game-changing feature for brands and online sellers—Facebook Live integration with Shopee via Collaborative Ads.
Now, during livestreams, sellers can showcase products directly from their Shopee catalogues, allowing viewers to click featured items and complete their purchases instantly on Shopee without leaving Facebook. Products can be pinned in real time, with shoppers able to browse details, reviews, and checkout options all within the same experience.
Shopee is the first e-commerce platform to integrate with this Meta beta product, currently being piloted in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Expansion to additional markets is planned soon.
