SHDA, DHSUD employees back Secretary Aliling’s Anti-Corruption Drive

Two more organizations have expressed support for the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development’s (DHSUD) commitment to clean governance, joining Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling in his fight against corruption.

The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA) and the DHSUD Employees Association (DHSUDEA) pledged to work with the agency in promoting transparency and accountability within the housing sector.

“Integrity, transparency, and accountability are values that must guide every stakeholder as we work together with government to address the country’s housing needs,” SHDA said in a statement. “Together, we believe in building not only homes — but also trust and a better future for all Filipinos.”

DHSUDEA, led by Roel Fernandez, also voiced its support for Aliling’s strong stand against corruption.

“We, the DHSUD Employees Association, stand in full support of Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling’s strong and unwavering stance against corruption in all housing sectors, both in the government and private institutions,” the group said.

The employees’ association emphasized its pledge to uphold honesty and integrity, saying corruption has no place in DHSUD’s mission to provide safe, adequate, and affordable housing for Filipinos.

Their backing follows an earlier statement of support from the Construction Project Management Association of the Philippines (CPMAP), which lauded Aliling’s leadership.

“Your head-on and straightforwardly stand against this social cancer is an inspiration to us — a reminder that there is still hope for our nation and there are still clean and committed public servant,” CPMAP said.

Aliling, in a weekend news release, called on the public to unite against corruption.

“Samahan po natin at tulungan si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na labanan ang korapsyon. Umpisahan natin sa housing sector, ipakita natin na kayang talunin ang korapsyon. Huwag po tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa,” he said.
