The Supreme Court (SC) said that annulment and nullity of marriage cases will be filed and served electronically.
The SC said that the En Banc expanded Rule 13-A of the Rules of Procedure will apply to annulment and nullity cases.
This rule applies to the electronic filing and service of pleadings, motions, and other important papers in civil cases for first- and second-level courts.
“Before this change, Rule 13-A did not cover special proceedings like annulment and nullity of marriage cases. The Office of the Court Administrator recommended their inclusion, noting that these cases follow similar procedures to civil actions,” the SC said in a statement.
They clarified that other special proceedings are excluded and will not be filed and served electronically.
