Three rehabilitated EDSA Busway stations in Quezon City and Caloocan City have reopened to the public, providing commuters with improved facilities and more convenient access to public transportation.

The stations, located at North Avenue in Quezon City and Monumento and Bagong Barrio in Caloocan City, were opened following the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to improve commuter safety and convenience.

The upgraded facilities feature wider passenger platforms, improved waiting sheds, tactile paving for visually impaired commuters, and LED information displays to provide passengers with travel-related information.

The improvements aim to address passenger congestion, enhance accessibility, and provide a safer and more comfortable commuting experience for thousands of daily EDSA Busway users.

The installation of tactile paving is also intended to assist persons with visual impairments in navigating station areas, while the wider platforms provide additional space for passengers waiting to board buses.

Meanwhile, the upgraded waiting sheds and LED displays are designed to improve passenger convenience and access to information.

The rehabilitation forms part of the government’s continuing efforts to modernize the EDSA Busway system and strengthen public transportation infrastructure in Metro Manila.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) continues to pursue improvements to busway facilities to promote safer, more accessible, and more efficient public transportation for commuters.
