Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO), through its social responsibility arm ICCP Group Foundation, Inc. (IGFI), is strengthening its commitment to inclusive growth by expanding livelihood and skills development programs that provide sustainable economic opportunities for women and youth across its host communities.
For years, PDO has invested in entrepreneurship and self-reliance through flagship initiatives like the Gabay sa Kabuhayan: Livelihood Assistance Project. Most recently in Malvar, Batangas, ten women were given the tools to launch their own food cart businesses in partnership with Odyssey Foundation, Inc. (OFI). Each beneficiary received a P10,000 starter package that included food products from CDO Foodsphere, Inc., essential equipment, and a training program from DOST-Calabarzon on Basic Food Hygiene and Food Safety Hazards. They also underwent six months of business mentoring to ensure sustainability. Today, these women earn between P500 and P1,000 daily, enabling them to contribute to household income and support their children’s education.
Similar initiatives are taking root in Pampanga, where the Kabalikat sa Negosyo entrepreneurship training has empowered 30 participants to start food vending ventures. These small enterprises are already generating steady daily earnings, reinforcing household stability and proving that grassroots entrepreneurship can build community resilience. PDO continues to replicate and expand these projects in Pampanga, Batangas, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro.

Beyond supporting women microentrepreneurs, PDO is also investing in the next generation of skilled workers. In partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the company recently conducted a three-day tile-setting training for thirty out-of-school youth from Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro. The program equipped participants with practical construction skills that improve employability, particularly within PDO’s housing developments and contractor network. This effort forms part of a broader agreement with TESDA to roll out more technical training programs across the city.
Through these initiatives, PDO ensures that its real estate developments generate shared value—not only creating homes and communities, but also preparing residents for long-term livelihood and career growth.
