Polls for the 2024 U.S. presidential election have officially closed, and voters are now waiting to see whether Donald Trump or Kamala Harris will secure a historic victory.
As of 2:01 p.m. (+0800 GMT) on November 6, Trump holds 246 electoral votes, with Harris trailing at 210.
According to the Associated Press, Trump can reach the 270 electoral vote threshold by winning North Carolina and securing a combination of battleground states, including Georgia and Pennsylvania, or Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. He could also win by taking Wisconsin and Arizona, or other possible combinations involving Nevada.
The race remains too close to call as several crucial swing states have yet to be fully decided, with votes still being counted.
