Michael Porter Jr. scored a season-high 34 points and Tyrese Martin added 20 off the bench, powering the Brooklyn Nets to a 129-106 victory over the struggling Washington Wizards on Sunday.
Porter, who also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out seven assists, shot 11 of 18 from the field and 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, surpassing his previous season high of 32 points. Martin, previously averaging 6.3 points per game, provided an unexpected scoring boost.

Washington’s Kyshawn George led the Wizards with 29 points, including five 3-pointers. CJ McCollum scored 17, while Alex Sarr managed nine before fouling out. The Wizards have now lost 11 straight games since beating the Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 24.
Washington briefly cut the deficit to one late in the third quarter, but Brooklyn regained control on a 9-0 run sparked by Martin. In the fourth, Noah Clowney and Martin extended the lead to 108-88, allowing the Nets to pull away comfortably.
Earlier in the game, a 22-9 Nets run in the second quarter, featuring Martin and Ziaire Williams, helped set the tone for Brooklyn’s dominant performance.
