Adamson and UP are tied for fourth place at 1-2.
“The first two games were eye-opening for us, but credit also to the players. We’re a team where we can force top teams to give out their best. We just have to stay composed so we don’t relax,” Adamson head coach Jed Colonia said.
After opening the season with the league’s highest turnover average at 23.5 per game, Adamson only had 13 turnovers compared to UP’s 18.
“It’s really a very good improvement for us in the way we took care of the ball. Basically that’s it, we took care of the ball very well,” Colonia said.
The Fighting Maroons tied the score at 31-all in the first quarter and at 40-all early in the third quarter, but the Lady Falcons fought back to take a 50-43 lead entering the final quarter.
