Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is scheduled to travel to Japan for a three day visit beginning Monday, according to the Japanese government.
The trip will include his first formal meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, marking a step in strengthening bilateral ties.
Officials said discussions between the two leaders are expected to cover areas of mutual interest, including political cooperation and economic engagement.
The visit comes as both countries seek to reinforce partnerships with like minded nations amid shifting global dynamics.
Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Kei Sato said Poland remains a key strategic partner that upholds shared principles such as freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
He expressed optimism that the visit would help expand cooperation and deepen relations between Tokyo and Warsaw.
Diplomatic exchanges between the two nations have increased in recent years, reflecting broader efforts to build alliances beyond their respective regions.
