The Philippine National Police told Sen. Ronald Dela Rosa on Tuesday to face the legal process over the International Criminal Court warrant against him and surrender his remaining firearms.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez issued the call after Dela Rosa’s camp turned over 20 guns to police.

The firearms were surrendered through the senator’s legal representative on June 11.

The turnover came after the PNP revoked Dela Rosa’s gun license and the registrations of his 117 firearms.

Nartatez said the surrender was only an initial step.

He said Dela Rosa must turn over the remaining firearms still under his name.

The PNP chief also said the gun turnover would not stop operations to locate the senator.

The Department of Justice earlier ordered the PNP and the National Bureau of Investigation to enforce the ICC warrant against Dela Rosa over his alleged role in the Duterte administration’s drug war.
