The reported death toll from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao last week rose to 68, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Tuesday.
In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC also listed 1,339 injured persons and 33 others still missing.
The agency said the quake affected 337,541 families, or 1,382,294 people, across several areas in Mindanao.
Of the affected population, 4,449 families, or 18,504 people, were being served in 45 evacuation centers.
Damage to homes also continued to mount, with 67,990 houses reported damaged in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, and the Bangsamoro region.
The NDRRMC said 12,387 houses were destroyed, while 55,603 others were partially damaged.
Infrastructure damage in the same regions was estimated at Php 148,047,150.
The agency said Php 156,569,434 worth of assistance had been provided to 24,985 families, or 11.88 percent of the 210,300 families needing aid. Another Php 8,132,850.61 worth of assistance was also released to local governments and regional agencies.
