The Philippine National Police (PNP) reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing the law following the issuance of a warrant of arrest against Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, stressing that the implementation of lawful court orders is a legal obligation regardless of an individual’s position or political affiliation.
In a statement, the PNP emphasized that carrying out the warrant is not subject to personal discretion or political considerations, but is part of its mandate to uphold the law and comply with orders issued by competent courts.
The police organization also assured the public that the implementation of the warrant would follow established legal procedures while respecting due process and the constitutional rights of the senator.
The PNP further stressed that it would not be influenced by external pressure or personalities in performing its sworn duties, reiterating its commitment to enforce the law without fear or favor.
“No position, influence, or personal affiliation places anyone above the law,” the PNP said.
