The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Tuesday that authorities successfully raided an alleged illegal firearms manufacturing facility in Los Baños, Laguna, resulting in the confiscation of an estimated P16 million worth of equipment and firearm components.
The operation was conducted last Saturday, November 29, in Barangay San Antonio, Los Baños, following the execution of a search warrant for a suspect identified only as “Allan.” The suspect is allegedly involved in the illegal manufacturing of parts for long firearms.
According to a statement released by the PNP, the raid uncovered a large cache of sophisticated equipment and firearm components.
Among the items seized were five Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, specialized equipment believed to be used in mass-producing parts, along with various computer systems and related devices.
The inventory of firearm parts included lower and upper receivers, silencers and suppressors, muzzle brakes, handguards, barrels, slides, grips, recoil springs, live ammunition, and both finished and unfinished magazines.
The suspect, a resident of the same barangay, remains at large. Police are currently preparing a criminal complaint against him for violating Section 32 of Republic Act No. 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
The PNP did not specify which court issued the search warrant or provide a detailed item-by-item breakdown of the P16 million valuation of the seized assets.
