Police arrested a man listed as the No. 7 regional-level target under the Philippine National Police (PNP) E-Warrant System during an operation in Binangonan, Rizal on July 11.

Operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Eastern District Field Unit apprehended alias “Noknok,” 28, along P. Burgos Street, Barangay Lungsad, by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 68 in Binangonan.

The suspect was facing charges for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 involving possession of dangerous drugs.

The PNP said the arrest was carried out in accordance with established procedures, with body-worn cameras and other recording devices used to document the operation.

Authorities said the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights before being brought to the appropriate office for processing and documentation.

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the arrest showed the police force’s continuing efforts to locate and apprehend individuals with pending criminal cases while observing due process.

Nartatez added that the PNP would continue its campaign against illegal drugs through lawful operations that protect communities and uphold public trust.

The police force said the operation supported its Focused Agenda, particularly the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework, which focuses on coordinated and effective enforcement actions against wanted persons.
