order throughout the 2025 holiday season.
The national police force emphasized that a substantial portion of the personnel will be focused on high-traffic areas on December 24 and 31.
The deployment plan allocates 12,695 officers to places of worship, 7,838 to major thoroughfares, 6,691 to commercial districts, and 6,530 to transportation hubs. Acting PNP Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that the goal is to have officers “highly visible in key areas, ready to respond quickly, and actively prevent incidents before they happen.”
In addition to security, the PNP is coordinating with the Land Transportation Office, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, and local government units to manage traffic during the holiday rush.
The PNP also reminded the public of safety regulations concerning firecrackers and pyrotechnics, referencing Republic Act No. 7183.
Nartatez also warned law enforcers regarding misconduct, particularly the illegal discharge of firearms. He directed commanders to act immediately on any incident, cautioning that they will be held responsible if a case remains unsolved beyond a 36-hour period.
