The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday reported multiple arrests and drug seizures across the country following a series of intelligence-driven operations. Authorities said the actions highlight the agency’s continued focus on public safety and law enforcement.

From February 20 to 21, the authorities apprehended 11 individuals wanted for serious offenses, including murder, trafficking in persons, rape, and illegal possession of firearms. Among those detained were a national-level fugitive linked to trafficking and estafa, and a regional top-ranked suspect wanted for murder.

Other suspects faced allegations of kidnapping, statutory rape, syndicated estafa, and attempted rape. All were taken into custody through lawful operations and processed for documentation and legal filing.

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the operations show that lawbreakers cannot evade justice. He added that all actions were conducted with respect for due process and human rights.

In separate anti-drug operations, police reported the seizure of 300 grams of suspected shabu in Iloilo worth Php 2,040,000 and 396.71 grams in Albay valued at Php 2,697,628. The arrests involved high-value individuals in buy-bust operations.

Authorities also dismantled marijuana plantations in Ilocos Sur and Benguet, destroying thousands of mature plants and dried leaves estimated at Php 43,015,000. These operations aimed to reduce illegal drug production nationwide.

The PNP said the total value of drugs and related items confiscated during the period reached Php 47,752,628. All seized items were inventoried and documented according to standard procedures.

Police reiterated that public vigilance remains critical in reporting suspicious activity. Intelligence-led operations and law enforcement efforts continue to be key in promoting security and protecting communities.
