The Philippine Information Agency – National Capital Region (PIA Metro Manila) has reinforced its role in advancing transparent and inclusive public health governance as it continues its active participation in the Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) of the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium, more commonly known as Tala Hospital.

Demonstrating sustained confidence in the agency’s leadership, PIA-NCR Regional Director Emver P. Cortez was re-elected as Chairperson of the MSGC. His renewed mandate highlights PIA Metro Manila’s commitment to ensuring that government health programs, reforms, and services are effectively communicated and understood by the public.

The MSGC brings together representatives from government institutions, private sector organizations, and other stakeholders to serve as a collaborative body supporting Tala Hospital’s pursuit of excellence in patient care. Through this partnership, the council also promotes greater community participation and accountability in hospital governance, helping align healthcare services with the needs of the people they serve.

By remaining at the forefront of the MSGC, PIA Metro Manila continues to bridge information, engagement, and public trust—strengthening the connection between healthcare institutions and the communities they serve while supporting Tala Hospital’s mission of delivering quality, people-centered care.
