In the Philippines, only one in four students who start first grade will eventually earn a college degree—a sobering statistic that highlights the financial barriers many young Filipinos face in pursuing higher education. PHINMA Education, a private education network, is determined to change this narrative.

Operating 12 institutions across the Philippines and Indonesia, PHINMA Education offers affordable college and university-level programs that have already supported over 144,000 students. Many of these learners are the first in their families to reach this milestone, earning diplomas and degrees that could transform their lives.

To bolster its mission, PHINMA Education has partnered with Lenovo to modernize its IT infrastructure. By consolidating all its technology under one brand, PHINMA aims to create a seamless digital ecosystem across campuses, enhancing both teaching and learning experiences with state-of-the-art tools and personalized content.

Streamlining IT for better learning
Before the Lenovo partnership, PHINMA Education relied on a mix of technology brands, which complicated IT management and hindered consistent support across locations. The shift to a unified tech partner has simplified operations, accelerated decision-making, reduced costs, and eased the transition to cloud-based systems.

A strong foundation for future-ready graduates
To further strengthen its academic offerings, PHINMA Education implemented Lenovo’s EdVision program, enabling educators to integrate digital tools into their teaching and curriculum design. Combined with Lenovo’s Device as a Service (DaaS) solution, the program allows PHINMA to maximize resource efficiency and minimize disruptions—ensuring students receive a high-quality, tech-enabled education.

Growing the partnership
In just two years, PHINMA Education has procured approximately 2,000 Lenovo devices, with plans to acquire another 1,000 by 2025. Looking ahead, PHINMA is set to adopt Lenovo’s TruScale Device as a Service and Managed Services, ensuring continuous access to reliable technology and robust IT support.

With Lenovo’s backing, PHINMA Education is not only enhancing classroom experiences but also expanding its reach across Southeast Asia. Together, they are empowering underprivileged youth with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures.
