The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) and the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC) formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement to provide OGCC legal support to PDIC.

The MOA was formalized on December 16, 2025, at the PDIC Chino Building in Makati City, with PDIC President Roberto B. Tan and Government Corporate Counsel Solomon M. Hermosura representing their agencies.

Under the agreement, OGCC will assign a dedicated legal team to assist PDIC in various legal matters.

The services cover enforcement of the Corporation’s rights, representation in mediation and arbitration, and advisory on regulatory compliance and major procurement projects.

OGCC will also conduct risk assessments, preliminary and formal administrative investigations, and prepare and file foreclosure petitions.

PDIC President Tan said the partnership would allow the agency to focus on delivering programs and services while navigating complex legal issues.

GCC Hermosura highlighted that the OGCC exists to support government-owned and controlled corporations and that the agreement helps PDIC maintain confidence in the banking system.

Both agencies said the collaboration aims to strengthen legal support, institutional coordination, and public trust in financial governance.

The MOA is expected to enhance PDIC’s capacity to handle legal challenges efficiently and consistently.

Officials said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to a stable financial system and effective public service delivery.
