On August 7, 2025, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) rolled out relief operations at the Christ the King Seminary Basketball Covered Court along E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City, bringing much-needed aid to residents of the city’s 4th District who were affected by recent storms and flooding.
Leading the distribution were PCSO Director Jennifer Liongson-Guevara, together with former PCSO Director and now Quezon City 4th District Representative Jesus Manuel Angel “Bong” Suntay, Councilor Atty. Miguel “Migs” Suntay, and Ma. Aurora “Marra” Suntay.
A total of 750 ChariTimba packs and 750 evacuation kits were handed out to families whose homes and livelihoods were disrupted by the floods. The ChariTimba packs included staple food items such as rice, canned goods, instant noodles, and coffee—essentials to help households get by in the aftermath of the disaster. Meanwhile, the evacuation kits provided comfort and security with mosquito nets, pillows, blankets, slippers, flashlights, and other basic necessities for families staying in temporary shelters.
The initiative forms part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which consistently extends timely assistance to communities in crisis. By delivering both immediate relief and practical tools for recovery, PCSO reaffirms its mission of serving Filipinos not just through its gaming and charity fund initiatives, but also through tangible support that uplifts lives in times of need.
