Executives and officers of the Palawan Group of Companies celebrate the Group’s multiple wins at the 61st Anvil Awards, marking a milestone in its purpose-driven communications that affirm the company’s matatag, maaasahan, at mapagkakatiwalaang serbisyo.

The Palawan Group of Companies marked another milestone as it earned three major distinctions at the 61st Anvil Awards, underscoring its continued focus on purpose-driven communication and inclusive financial services that directly touch Filipino communities.

The company received recognition in Government Relations for its Palawan for Business partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment, alongside two Silver Anvils in Financial Communication and Marketing and Brand Communication for its 40th anniversary campaign, “Ikaw Pa Rin Ang No. 1 sa Palawan,” a tribute to the millions of Filipinos who have trusted the brand for four decades.

“These awards reflect the trust Filipinos place in us every day. They belong to our sukis who entrust us with their hard-earned money and allow us to be part of their lives, from supporting families and small businesses to serving workers in far-flung communities. That trust inspires us to continue serving with sincerity, care, and integrity,” said Karlo M. Castro, president and CEO of the Palawan Group.

Through its collaboration with Department of Labor and Employment, the Palawan Group helped transform the way government assistance reaches beneficiaries, especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

By leveraging its nationwide network of more than 3,500 branches, the company converted select locations into micro-payout hubs strategically placed in remote barangays and island communities. Mobile branches and payout caravans further extended coverage, while real-time transaction monitoring and SMS alerts gave beneficiaries clarity and confidence in receiving their aid.

The model eased travel and logistical burdens for families and provided government agencies with a reliable, traceable, and fully compliant disbursement partner capable of handling large-scale operations. Palawan Group employees themselves led on-the-ground payouts, reinforcing the company’s hands-on commitment to accessible and inclusive financial support.

The Palawan Group also secured two Silver Anvils for its year-long 40th anniversary campaign, “Ikaw Pa Rin Ang No. 1 sa Palawan,” which reaffirmed that while the company continues to grow as a financial services leader, its customers remain its top priority.

Anchored in real Filipino stories, the campaign brought this message to life through programs that highlighted both gratitude and impact.

Among its key initiatives was the Palawan Group Scholarship Program, which promoted financial literacy and long-term planning by supporting 158 new scholars and honoring its 2025 graduates, including the program’s first-ever summa cum laude recipient.

The campaign also showcased the social impact of accessible digital finance through the PalawanPay Marathon, which raised funds for an ambulance donated to the El Nido Community Hospital.

These efforts were complemented by the 40th Anniversary Media Roundtable, Partners’ Night, Leadership Conference, and Marketing Summit—events that strengthened transparency with the media, celebrated valued partners, enhanced internal capabilities, and recognized employees who embody the company’s core values.

Often described as the Oscars of the local PR industry, the Anvil Awards are among the most respected honors in Philippine communications. Organized annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, the awards recognize excellence in strategic communication, creativity, and measurable impact.

Winners are selected by a multi-sectoral jury of communication professionals, academics, and business leaders, ensuring a rigorous and credible evaluation process.

“Being recognized at the Anvil Awards reminds us that the true measure of our work is the difference it makes in people’s lives,” said Bernard V. Kaibigan, chief marketing officer of the Palawan Group. “Our campaign was our way of thanking millions of Filipinos, especially those who work hard every day and rely on our services to provide for their families. These awards inspire us to keep finding ways to serve sincerely and make life a little easier for every Filipino.”

At the center of every award and milestone are the Filipinos who continue to place their trust in Palawan Group’s services—from families sending support to loved ones, to small business owners managing their livelihoods, to everyday workers safeguarding their savings.

As the company moves forward into 2026, it carries the same promise it has upheld for over four decades: mura, mabilis, at walang kuskos-balungos na serbisyo—affordable, reliable, and hassle-free service for every Filipino.
