The country remains largely dry on Monday, with no major rain systems affecting the Philippines, state forecasters said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reports that only isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur, mostly over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
These rains are expected to develop from local thunderstorm activity rather than from any organized weather disturbance.
In Luzon, weather is influenced by the northeast monsoon, or amihan, along with a shear line affecting eastern regions.
Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and Central Luzon may see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional light rain, Pagasa said.
Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon are likely to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.
The agency also maintains a gale warning over northern and eastern Luzon, citing rough to very rough seas, and confirmed that no low-pressure area is present in or near the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
