IFUGAO – More than 4,000 families across several barangays in Lagawe, Ifugao, received rice assistance through the Local Government Support Fund–Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) program.

Each beneficiary household received 20 kilograms of rice as part of the local government’s efforts to provide food assistance to families in need.

The beneficiaries were identified using data from the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), which helps local governments assess household conditions and identify communities requiring assistance.

The use of CBMS data aims to ensure that government resources reach qualified households based on their socioeconomic circumstances.

The distribution forms part of the government’s continuing efforts to strengthen food security and support vulnerable families through assistance programs implemented by local government units.

The LGSF-FALGU program provides financial support to local governments for eligible projects and initiatives addressing community needs.
