The Sky Kings overcame the defending champions of MPL Indonesia, TEAM LIQUID ID, on the opening match of the season 15 playoffs with a score of 3-1.
A surprising Kaja pick from ONIC’s Jungler, Kairi, successfully leads his team to get the first win of the playoffs. Kairi last used Kaja as a jungler in the regular season of MPL ID season 11 when they defeated Alter Ego.
Meanwhile, ONIC’s Exp Laner, Lutpiii gave a clean Masha performance of 6/0/8 KDA who took over to become the player of the game.
Moving to game 2, the early dominant rotations of ONIC led them the key to victory putting themselves on a match point. ONIC Kiboy’s Badang got the first blood within first minute mark of the game with their early gank on the Exp Lane with the help of ONIC S A N Z’s Pharsa.
Eventually, TLID came back with the win on the third game of the match but failed to tie up the series to 2-2 for a do-or-die game. Even after the 3rd game loss, ONIC stayed calm and composed to finish up the game and move forward.
ONIC’s Roamer, Kiboy ruled being the player of the match with his Chip, Badang, and Kalea pick during the 1st, 2nd, and 4th game of the match.
The 3rd seeded ONIC and 6th seeded TEAM LIQUID ID met on a best of five must-win series to continue to the next round of the playoffs.
ONIC ID is set to face 2nd seeded GEEK Fam ID on June 12.
